    Yoga Therapy is a one-to-one process whereby the therapist will help you support your health and wellness or tackle specific problems, conditions or needs.
    Conditions such as back, shoulder, neck issues, other physical injuries or recovery from illnesses or injuries, sleep disruption, stress management, anxiety, pre and post-natal care, can be managed through yoga therapy, sometimes in combination with other Health Practitioners. Typical conditions where yoga may help you:

    • Stress related issues
    • Back pains
    • Scoliosis
    • Menauposal symptoms
    • Hormonal imbalances
    • Recovery from injuries or trauma
    • High blood pressure
    • Sleep disorder
    • Depression
    • Pregnancy: Pre & Post natal care

    What to expect?

    The teacher will design a practice that suits your needs and objectives. The length of the practice will vary based on your constraints. What is important is regularity and commitment to and during the practice. 
    The teacher might use a variety of tools including postures (asanas), breathing techniques, visualisation, sacred gestures, sounds and mantras (non religious). 
    In this approach, the student is completely empowered .

    Anybody who is willing to take ownership of his/her own health (physical and mental health), wherever you are starting from,  whatever is your age, condition, flexibility or strength.
    In Yoga Therapy, we, therapists, adapt the practice to you give you a practice that suits your needs, respect your limitations and can support your health.
    In Yoga Therapy, we give you the tools and you are empowered.
    Your commitment throughout the process is critical.

    The Process of Yoga Therapy? 

    Initial package (New Therapy student): 5-class package over approximately 2 months. 
    The process requires at least 4 to 5 sessions, spread over a period of about 3 months.
    The first session is dedicated to the assessment (you will be required to fill up a questionnaire that will be a base for discussion during the session). Then the therapist will design a personal Yoga practice adapted to your needs, lifestyle, time available to practice etc. and will coach you so you are able to practice on your own.The therapist will meet you on a regular basis (weekly for at least the first 3 sessions) to follow-up, adapt and finetune your practice as we go.
    Follow up session: Once your personal practice is well established you won’t change it so often. You will have regular follow up sessions with your teacher (intervals may vary from one student to another and from time to time for the same student). You will meet your teacher regularly to update your practice. As you practice regularly, things change and your needs will evolve too. Nothing is set in stone. Your practice needs to evolve with you.
