Yoga Therapy: Owning Your Health Journey

Yoga therapy offers a structured, individualized approach to support your health and healing journey — whether you’re navigating chronic conditions, sleep disorders, persistent pain, stress, anxiety, eating-related challenges, sports injuries, or simply aiming to keep your body functional, mobile, and pain-free at any age.

Rooted in both the ancient principles of yoga and modern scientific understanding, yoga therapy is increasingly recognized as a complementary practice within integrative and conventional healthcare settings. It draws on evidence-informed techniques — including movement, breath regulation, relaxation, and mindfulness — adapted to your specific physical and psychological needs.

Yoga Therapy Sessions in Paris are conducted one-on-one, allowing the certified yoga therapist to work closely with you and, when relevant, in collaboration with your healthcare providers.

The goal: to restore balance, enhance resilience, and support the body’s innate capacity to heal.

Typical Conditions Where Yoga Therapy Can Support You:

  • Chronic conditions management
  • Natural aging support

What to expect?

Your certified yoga therapist will design a personalized yoga practice tailored to your unique needs and health goals.

Through individualized yoga sessions, you’ll explore therapeutic tools to support your healing journey.

You will meet regularly for guided yoga therapy sessions and be encouraged to develop a consistent home yoga practice. This self-practice is a critical component of the process, helping you achieve lasting results in managing stress, chronic conditions, pain, and overall well-being.

The length and frequency of your tailored yoga program will adapt to your lifestyle and commitments. What truly matters is regular yoga practice and dedication, both during sessions and on your own.

Your therapist may incorporate a variety of techniques, including yoga postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), visualization and meditation, as well as non-religious mantras and mudras — all aimed at enhancing your mind-body wellness.

The Yoga Therapy Process

A Personalized 2-Month Journey

The kick-off program for new students includes 5 sessions over 2 months — the minimum time needed to create and integrate an effective personal practice.

Session 1: Assessment & Foundations

Your first session (90 minutes) begins with a detailed assessment based on a questionnaire you’ll fill out beforehand. This will guide an in-depth discussion about your health, lifestyle, needs, and goals. Based on this, the therapist will design your personalized yoga practice, tailored to your physical condition, emotional state, daily schedule, and energy levels.

Sessions 2 to 5: Support & Refinement

In the following sessions (usually weekly at first), your teacher will guide you through your custom practice, coach you in applying it at home, and gradually adjust it as your needs evolve. The goal is to give you the confidence and autonomy to integrate this practice into your daily life.

Long-Term Follow-Up

Once your practice is established, you’ll meet your teacher for regular follow-up sessions — at a rhythm that suits your needs. Your body, mind, and circumstances change, so your practice must evolve too.
In yoga therapy, nothing is fixed: your practice grows with you.

About Me

Born and bread near the ocean in Brittany, I spent over 20 years in Asia, where yoga became more than a practice — a way of life. After discovering yoga through mantras 22 years ago, my path evolved from dedicated practitioner to teacher, trained in the Krishnamacharya tradition and Yoga Therapy.

A profound personal experience during pregnancy sparked my desire to understand yoga’s healing power deeply.

Today, I teach personalized traditional yoga, blending postures, breathwork, meditation, and philosophy, aiming to help students explore and transform themselves. I currently teach in Paris, lead retreats in France and Portugal, and specialize in back therapy, stress management, prenatal/postpartum yoga, and yoga philosophy.

Specialties

  • Therapeutic Yoga for back health, sleep disorders, stress management, and long-term illness support
  • Breathing techniques (prānāyāma)
  • Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga

My favorite quote:
“The success of Yoga does not lie in the ability to perform postures but in how it positively changes the way we live our life and our relationships. – Sir T.K.V. Desikachar
